Otile Brown angrily responds to Bien’s sarcastic take on manager’s exit

By , July 28, 2025

R&B singer Otile Brown has fired back at Bien Aime Baraza, accusing him of hypocrisy following what appeared to be a mocking reaction to the resignation of his manager, Mumbi Maina.

Otile, visibly riled, unleashed a scathing tirade after Bien posted a clip of his hit song All My Enemies Are Suffering just hours after Mumbi went public with her exit.

Otile interpreted Bien’s timing as a subtle dig at his ongoing team troubles, igniting tensions between the two once again.

In a strongly worded outburst shared on his Instagram stories on Monday, July 28, 2025, Otile dismissed Bien as a loudmouth and a fake, implying that his artistry lacks substance and longevity.

He accused Bien of constantly seeking online attention by commenting on every trending issue and warned that his success could disappear with a single misstep.

“That person just had to comment. Always talking. This wannabe international guy thinks he made it off a little Kenyan favour that landed in his lap. Over what songs? Those TikTok challenges that last only two weeks? You cannot win on grace alone. Always wants to be seen, always has something to say on every blog post. You know I can snatch that spot any time, right? It only takes one right move from me and one wrong move from you. This is Kenya, and you know your people well,” he added.

Otile, however, insisted he was not jealous of Bien’s career but advised him to improve his personal image and stop pretending to be authentic.

“I am not a hater. You are doing well, but try and look the part. Moisturise those lips that cannot go a minute without moving. Dress properly and stop carrying local accessories like those cheap village earrings. There is no authenticity there,” he added.

Taking an even harsher swipe, Otile accused Bien of projecting false humility and insisted he would never acknowledge him, even if he were to win a Grammy.

“You call yourself international, but I repeat, you can never beat me. Even if you win a Grammy, I do not recognise you. Too much bluff. Enjoy it while it lasts. This is the reason I do not respect that guy. He is the biggest hypocrite,” Otile concluded.

Mumbi’s exit

Mumbi revealed to the public that she was stepping down from her role as Otile Brown’s manager in a statement shared on Monday, July 28, 2025.

According to Mumbi, she had taken time to come to terms with her resignation, but she had finally accepted her fate.

“After much thought and reflection, I have decided to step down from my role as Otile Brown’s manager,” part of her statement read.

Mumbi further acknowledged how impactful her journey has been working with the artiste.

“Working with Otile has been a journey I’ll always be proud of, full of growth, creativity, and unforgettable moments. I remain deeply grateful for the trust he placed in me and for the incredible support from fans, partners, and everyone who has been part of this chapter,” Mumbi said.

Mumbi also noted that separations are sometimes inevitable in the creative industry and emphasised that embracing such change is necessary for the sake of peace.

“As with any creative journey, there comes a time when paths naturally shift. For the sake of my peace, purpose, and professional evolution, I believe this is the right time to take a step back and allow space for new directions both for Otile and for myself,” Mumbi stated.

She also pointed out that the decision was reached through mutual agreement with the artiste, and went on to express her gratitude to him for playing a key role in her personal and professional growth.

“This decision has been made with respect and mutual understanding. I continue to wish Otile the very best as he writes the next phase of his story. Thank you all for your continued support and for allowing me the space to move forward with intention and grace,” she added.
