Oga Obinna shows dramatic transformation as he celebrates fitness and financial growth
By Ascah Mwango, July 7, 2025Kenyan comedian and media personality Oga Obinna has stunned fans with his latest body transformation, sharing photos that reflect not only his physical growth but also his rise in wealth and success.
On Sunday, July 6, 2025, Obinna posted a before-and-after photo on social media. The first showed him looking thin and worn out, while the second revealed a strong, confident version of himself. Alongside the images, he shared a deeply personal message aimed at inspiring the youth.
“See what consistency can do? Mr Bonnes. Maisha ni polepole tu. Usiwe na mbio Youtman. Yout fi YOUT (Youth for youth).”
He went on to explain that he had once been in the same position many young people find themselves today: broke, confused, and struggling.
“Hata mimi nilikuwa hapo ulipo sasa hivi, ki mawazo, ki akili, ki mwili, ki fedha na vitu vingine vingi. Lakini siku give up!”
Obinna encouraged his followers not to compare themselves with others but to focus on personal growth.
“Usijilinganishe na wengine. Only compare yourself to your previous self. That’s your only competition. Every day, you just improve one small thing,” he said.
He noted that progress does not have to be rushed.
“Lose that weight pole pole. Gain that muscle pole pole. Get that money polepole. One day itajipa.”

Obinna’s life journey is a true rags-to-riches story. He has been open about his journey from humble beginnings. Before his fame, he did multiple odd jobs to make ends meet, including being a matatu tout, a hawker, and even selling juice on the streets. Those difficult days, he said, built the resilience that now drives him.
He rose to fame through comedy and content creation, quickly attracting a loyal fan base with his unique humour. That success opened doors to radio, where he co-hosted shows on popular stations like Kiss FM. Later, he launched Obinna TV, his YouTube channel, where he interviews and holds discussions with high-profile individuals.
He also made headlines for buying a KSh 12 million Range Rover Vogue, a symbol of how far he had come.
