‘My greatest treasure’ – MP Eric Wamumbi celebrates wife Betty Maina on their 2nd wedding anniversary

In a lovely tribute shared on his social media pages on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, Wamumbi expressed deep affection for his wife, describing her as his greatest treasure and most cherished blessing.

He went on to say that Betty is the woman who has his heart, now and forever, and said it would always be the two of them against the world.
“Happy anniversary, my beautiful Betty N Maina. You are my greatest treasure, my most cherished blessing. Here’s to the woman who has my heart, now and forever. Always us against the world!” Wamumbi’s message reads.
Traditional wedding
The lovebirds tied the knot in a colourful traditional wedding held in Kigumo, Murang’a County, on Saturday, November 18, 2023.
The beautiful event was graced by guests from all walks of life and high-profile politicians, including President William Ruto and the former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, among other leaders.

The bride wore a red-maroon custom-made African attire, complete with Kikuyu traditional jewellery. On the other hand, the groom wore white pants and a brown shirt.
The bridal team also wore modernised Kikuyu traditional attire.
The two first-term MPs made their romance public in 2022 during Eric Mwangi’s 35th birthday.
Wamumbi and Betty’s relationship has remained in the public spotlight, often attracting admiration for their openness and strong bond.
Their anniversary message adds to the growing list of moments the couple has shared publicly, showing that despite the pressures of political life, they remain committed to nurturing their marriage and celebrating their journey together.
