Murugi shares her struggles in weight loss journey
By Paulette Mboga, July 29, 2025Content creator and mom, Murugi Munyi, has opened up about the difficult moments in her weight loss journey, admitting that sometimes she feels stuck.
In an Instagram story on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, Murugi revealed that her weight has remained at 83 kilograms for a few weeks despite her consistent efforts.
She shared that this kind of plateau is part of the process and can be frustrating, but it’s something she is learning to work through.
“Today’s weight…I have been stagnant at 83 for a couple of weeks. It happens on a weight loss journey,” she wrote. “Then after some time, you feel like a big whoosh and it’s like you lost 3kgs overnight.”
From 104.7 Kg to 83 Kg
Murugi began her journey earlier this year and has already made incredible progress. On March 7, 2025, she weighed 104.7 kg.
Now, just a few months later, she has managed to bring that number down to 83 kg. Her transformation has inspired many, but she has been quick to remind her followers that it has not been smooth all the way.

The weight loss journey has not happened overnight, and she has had to stay focused even during periods when her body did not show quick results.
Staying consistent
One thing Murugi continues to stress is the importance of consistency. In the same post, she reminded her followers that showing up every day matters more than fast results.
“The magic is in the consistency,” she said. “You keep doing the same things over and over again, even when you see no change, and eventually, you will see the changes.”

Murugi’s words highlight the reality that progress can sometimes feel slow — but that does not mean it’s not happening.
Keeping her fans involved
Murugi has become known for being open about her journey, and she often uses her social media to update fans on how she’s doing. From sharing her progress to encouraging others who may be struggling, she has created a space that feels honest and supportive.
By speaking out about her struggles, not just her wins, Murugi continues to be a relatable and motivating figure for many. Her message is clear — it’s not always easy, but it’s always worth it.
