Mkamburi Chigogo defends Azziad after criticism over her multi-million property
By Paulette Mboga, September 25, 2025Media personality Mkamburi Chigogo has come out strongly in defence of Azziad Nasenya, dismissing criticism around the young star’s achievements and recent rumours about her multimillion-dollar property.
In a statement on Instagram on Thursday, September 25, 2025, Chigogo praised Azziad for her drive and determination, saying ambition should not be questioned.
“I respect Azziad for that. Is there a problem when someone is ambitious? Ambition is ambition. So if Azziad had a bigger vision… Kwa miaka 24, Azziad amechukua bonge la apartment ya 25 million. Wanaume mko like, ‘How dare she be that ambitious?’ She was on the right path,” Chigogo remarked.
Her comments come at a time when Azziad’s name has been trending following reports that her Ksh25 million apartment was facing auction. At only 25 years old, the actress and content creator has often attracted attention for her rapid success and lifestyle choices.
News of the auction sparked debate, with many questioning both her accomplishments and the challenges she may be facing.
Azziad’s response
Azziad, however, has addressed the rumours in her own style. In a recent video, she chose sarcasm over explanation, poking fun at the gossip.
“If there is one thing I respect, it is my social media family. And one thing that I have been seeing this evening in my DMs and comments is that you guys want tea (udaku)… so you know what, let us make one,” she said while literally preparing a cup of tea on camera.

The video left many of her followers amused but also disappointed, as they had expected her to address the issue more directly. True to her past stance, Azziad has often made it clear that she does not intend to respond to every rumour circulated about her.
Chigogo’s defence adds to the conversation around young achievers in Kenya, particularly women who have broken barriers at a young age. While Azziad’s journey has been filled with both milestones and criticism, her ambition continues to inspire supporters and stir debate in equal measure.
For Chigogo, ambition should be celebrated, not questioned. She said that success—especially when achieved early—should not automatically be met with negativity.
