Masauti sheds light on why fans know so little about his relationships

By , September 27, 2025

Singer and songwriter Masauti has revealed why he prefers to keep his love life largely private, explaining that there is no particular reason for withholding information, other than the fact that he does not see the need to post such matters on social media.

Speaking to YouTubers on Saturday, September 27, 2025, Masauti, born Mohamed Ali Said noted that those closest to him are already aware of his relationships, making it unnecessary for him to share details publicly.

“There is no particular reason why I do not share much about my relationships. It is just that I do not see the need to post such things. Those who are close to me already know when I am in a relationship. It is not necessary for me to post for people to know,” Masauti shared.

The ‘Sokote’ hitmaker emphasised that choosing to post or not post about one’s romantic life is entirely personal, and that while some people enjoy showcasing their relationships online, others prefer discretion, and both approaches are valid.

“As for people posting about their own romantic lives, that is fine too. If someone chooses not to post about their love life, that is their decision, and it is equally fine if someone enjoys sharing theirs,” Masauti added.

The singer also spoke about his latest collaboration with fellow artiste Khaligraph Jones, clarifying that the song was not motivated by past remarks or controversy but by creative synergy and mutual respect.

He revealed that he and Khaligraph had been in discussions for a long time and that the collaboration was inspired by Khaligraph’s prior comments about his talent and work ethic, which Masauti took as a challenge to refine his craft.

“Regarding my song with Khaligraph Jones, we have been talking for a long time and keeping in touch regularly. I also chose to collaborate with him because of the story he once shared about me, saying that I am talented but need to work harder. I took his words as a challenge and worked on them,” Masauti said.

He insisted that the song was chosen because it fit naturally, rather than being a response to any public narrative, underscoring that Khaligraph is a respected elder brother figure in the music industry.

“My collaboration with Khaligraph is therefore not about that story, but because I felt he fit perfectly for the song. Overall, he is like a senior brother to me, and that is why we worked together.”
