Social media influencer Lydia Wanjiru has issued a health update about her partner Leone Frank Doso, who is currently receiving medical treatment at a Kisumu hospital.

Taking to her official Instagram account on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, Wanjiru informed fans, friends, and supporters that Doso underwent life-saving surgery and is currently admitted to the High Dependency Unit (HDU), a critical care section, and therefore cannot receive visitors.

She explained that only she and his close family members are authorised to visit. She asked for understanding and assured them that once Doso is moved to the general ward, they would notify others who wish to visit.

“And for all the fans, friends, relatives and supporters of @frank doso, unfortunately, due to him being in HDU, which is a critical care unit, you can’t see him,” she said.

“Only me, his mother and brother have been authorised to visit. Please understand and bear with us. Once he’s been transferred to the general ward, we will let you know to come and visit him. Meanwhile, please pray for Doso’s smooth recovery process, and your support is greatly appreciated.”

Doso’s condition

The influencer further shared that her partner, Doso, recently suffered a tragic fall from the fourth floor of an apartment, resulting in a severe pelvic fracture, muscle tear, internal bleeding, and an acute kidney complication.

Wanjiru added that Doso is receiving dialysis and critical care and noted that the hospital bills have exceeded their expectations and continue to rise.

She appealed to friends, fans, and well-wishers for financial support to help cover Doso’s medical expenses, medication, and rehabilitation, adding that their prayers and encouragement mean a lot during this difficult time.

“Dear friends, fans and well-wishers,I’m reaching out with a hopeful heart. Leone Frank Dovozecently suffered a tragic fall from the 4th floor of an apartment.
