Digital content creator and influencer Lydia Wanjiru has celebrated a major milestone in her weight loss journey, completing her final Ozempic injection after seven months of consistent effort.

In a heartfelt Instagram message posted on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, the influencer revealed that throughout her use of five pens, she not only met but surpassed her initial weight loss goal of 75kg, currently weighing 74kg with plans to shed a little more.

Sharing her achievement, Lydia expressed gratitude for the support she received throughout the journey. She admitted that some days were tough.

“Today I took my last Ozempic shot, concluding 5 pens in 7 months and surpassing my weight loss goal, which was 75kgs, and I’m 74kgs, meaning I’ll lose more.
This journey wouldn’t have been possible without the immense support. Some days were so hard, but our focus was on the prize,” she revealed.

Weight loss journey

This comes after she revealed a dramatic transformation after losing 27 kg using Ozempic shots and says she is now shifting focus toward serious waist training to refine her physique.

In a series of her posts on Instastories, on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, Wanjiru shared that at her heaviest, she weighed 104 kg, compared to her current weight of 77 kg, a transformation she attributes to the metabolic effects of Ozempic, which helps reduce appetite and encourages targeted fat loss.

“My face tells it all 104kgs vs 77kgs,” she said as she shared her before and after photos.

“I’m looking to start serious waist training, as I’m still on lipo shots to burn fat on my lower tummy. Lipo shots help burn fat in a specific area where they are injected, whereas Ozempic is for the whole body weight loss.”

Additionally, Wanjiru emphasised that weight loss is a deeply personal journey and recognised the struggles everyone faces, underscoring that each person knows their body best and what works for them.

She shared that seeing 100 kg on the scale is something she never wants to experience again.

“Mimi naye hata na gym na diet singeweza kufika hapa in under 6 months aki,”she said.

“Weight loss is a personal journey. Kila mtu anajua struggles za mwili yake and the many failed attempts. Choose what best works for you! Otherwise, 100 kg is a number I never want to see on a scale.”
