Lenzah Ademba: TikToker who mimics DJ Shiti opens up on sudden fame

By , October 7, 2025

Kenyan TikToker Lenzah Ademba, who shot to fame for perfectly mimicking comedian DJ Shiti’s voice and style, has shared the story behind her rise to online stardom.

Speaking on Oga Obinna’s YouTube show on Monday, October 7, 2025, the 20-year-old content creator revealed that her love for comedy began long before she ever posted her first video. She said she would spend hours scrolling through TikTok and Instagram Reels, drawn to funny skits and online trends.

However, her dream of creating content was initially held back by the lack of a smartphone. Determined to start, she used part of her HELB loan to buy a phone and officially venture into content creation.

“I used to spend my time scrolling on TikTok and on IG reels. And I love being funny. But sikuwa na simu. So I decided to get a phone first so ndio nianze content creation. So I got my HELB and bought a phone,” she said.

Lenzah shared that her admiration for DJ Shiti dates back to his days on the popular comedy show Real Househelps of Kawangware, where he blended music and comedy. Inspired by this, she considered experimenting with a similar approach during her school holidays.

She explained that the unique voice she uses in her skits was not originally intended to mimic DJ Shiti. However, after fans in the comment section began pointing out the resemblance, she embraced the comparison and rode the trend to grow her audience.

“During the holidays, I thought I should start music and incorporate it. I have admired DJ Shiti from Kitambo since Real Househelps of Kawangware. He used to do music and comedy on the show. Hiyo sauti sidhani ni ya Shiti kabisa, but then on the comment section people started saying there is DJ Shiti, and I went with the trend,” she explained.

Her videos have left thousands of social media users in stitches. The highlight of her journey came when DJ Shiti himself noticed her work. Additionally, she is the only person that DJ Shiti follows on TikTok.

The comedian acknowledged Lenzah after she participated in Bien’s open verse challenge for the song All My Enemies Are Suffering. He shared her video on his Instagram stories, jokingly introducing her as his “daughter” and asking, “Bien, what do you say about my daughter?”

In the video, Lenzah hilariously sang in Shiti’s signature style, saying, “Enemies wanadhani wameingia lakini nawakanda kama unga karibu utadhani mimi ni Munga… enemies wanasuffer.

After her performance, she cheekily urged Bien to send her a token of appreciation.

“I even told Bien to send me between Ksh5,000 and Ksh50,000 from the prize fund,” she said.
