Kenya’s Jason Derulo doppelgänger Remcy Don loses TikTok account to hackers

Digital content creator Remcy Don, who went viral after claiming to be Kenya’s doppelgänger of American rapper Jason Derulo, has announced that his TikTok account with over 220,000 followers has been hacked.

Taking to his Instagram stories on Sunday, September 6, 2025,  the singer lamented that cybercriminals are now targeting social media accounts instead of financial platforms.

“Sad day it is. My TikTok account with over 220K followers imehackiwa. Badala ya watu kuvuna bank accounts wanakuja kuvuna TikTok, kweli priorities zimechange,” Remcy Don wrote.

Don denies child

This comes a few months after the online sensation laughed off claims that he could be the father of comedienne Eunice Mammito’s newborn child.

Speaking during an interview with SPM Buzz on Wednesday, 9 April 2025, Don said people should stop spreading the rumours and instead consult Google to find accurate information about whether or not he fathered the comedienne’s baby.

According to him, all information about him is readily available online, and he hinted at not having had a close relationship with the popular comedienne.

“Now that one… Go and ask Google. Google works. That’s why it came, to make things easier,” Kenya’s Jason Derulo stated.

Further, Remcy, who was being hosted by Shiku Gitau, also spoke about whether his recent posts about babies meant he was experiencing a similar baby fever phase as the comedienne.

On that, he acknowledged having made posts related to parenting but still refused to give a direct answer, saying Google still held the answers to that, too.

“Just go and search there, and you’ll see. Even those posts about parenting—you’ll find them,” he said.

Remcy, who appeared in the interview looking sharp in a black and white suit, also responded to questions about whether his new nickname, Pappito, meant he was attempting to mirror Mammito by creating a name that strikingly matched hers.

He still insisted that the answer to that could be found on Google, leaving his fans with mixed reactions.
