Content creator Kelvin Kinuthia has responded after being reminded about comments made in the past by Robert Burale regarding his dressing style.

This came after a fan brought up an old interview where Burale allegedly spoke about how Kinuthia dresses.

The fan asked, “Kinuthia, do you remember XXX akisema if Kinuthia comes here wearing something like a woman, I will walk away kwa interview flani?” The question seemed to refer to a past discussion on a show that featured Burale and Obinna.

Kinuthia, who appeared amused, responded on Saturday, October 11, 2025, while laughing, “Wacha tuskie huyu anasema nini. Mbona mnataka kuniletea shida? Ebu mniwache.” His light-hearted reaction suggested that he did not want to be dragged into the old controversy again.

Burale’s remarks resurface

In the old clip, Obinna is heard asking his crew if Kinuthia had arrived at the set, to which Robert Burale responded with strong opinions about Kinuthia’s fashion choices.

Burale said, “He (Kinuthia) needs to be lectured. Is he here right now? Why would he dress like a woman on social media? He needs to be told the truth. Is he coming dressed in a dress? Akikuja na dress mwambie a change ndio akuje kwa hii show.” These were Robert Burale’s words, compared to what the fan asked Kinuthia, showing that the conversation indeed happened in a past interview setting.

Obinna, slightly caught off guard, replied, “Errr… sawa…” ending the short exchange. The resurfacing of this clip has reignited conversations about how male public figures who challenge traditional gender expectations are treated in the entertainment industry.

Over time, several celebrities have shared mixed opinions about Kelvin Kinuthia’s dressing. Some have praised him for being confident and expressive, saying he represents a new generation that values self-expression and individuality.

Others, however, believe that his choice of dressing blurs the line between male and female identity and is meant to attract public attention.

Despite the divided opinions, Kinuthia has maintained his style and continued to build his brand around it. His confidence and humour when addressing criticism have earned him a loyal following.
