Kabu Simon raises alarm over decline in weddings and honeymoons
By Nancy Marende, September 3, 2025Businessman Kabu Simon has raised concerns over what he described as a worrying decline in weddings and honeymoons among today’s young generation compared to previous years.
In a statement on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, Kabu noted that about 15 years ago, weddings were a frequent and celebrated affair, with couples tying the knot in large numbers and honeymoon trips becoming almost a tradition.
However, he observed that such celebrations have become increasingly rare in recent times.
“Jabo jaboo. What’s happening to the young generation? Fifteen years ago or so, there were many weddings and honeymoons happening. Nowadays, there are very few,” Kabu said.
He revealed that in his curiosity, he had spoken to a wedding planner and a garden owner, who confirmed that the number of bookings for weddings has significantly dropped.
“I talked to a wedding planner and garden owner. People aren’t getting married as before,” he added.

His remarks come months after his ex-wife, Sarah Kabu, revealed shocking details about him while speaking at an online interview with Dr Ofweneke on January 16, 2025. Sarah stated that Simon has four baby mamas.
She further revealed that one of them owns a spa, and some of the girls who work there used to come to her matrimonial home.
“I do not know if you know, but Simon has four baby mamas and one of them runs a spa, in quotes. I know as a man you know what I mean,” stated Sarah.
Sarah went on to spill the details of a viral video where she is allegedly seen chasing a girl with a knife in her hand.
She revealed that the ladies who used to work at the spa would come to the house where he lived with his ex-husband, Simon Kabu.
“Some of those girls, often known as ‘night nurses’, used to come to our house. One of them had been picked at that particular period to come to my house. I am sure you saw me fighting one of them out of the house,” added Sarah.
Sarah stated that she was not comfortable with the person coming to her house, mainly because of her children.
“But now she was bringing her friends into my house and this is a house where my children also go to because we have shared custody I was really trying to tell them you can do your things elsewhere and not in my house because this house still belongs to these children,” stated Sarah.
