Hanna Benta recalls not knowing what to do with gifts after Cashmeer’s wedding switched

TikTok star Hanna Benta has opened up about the emotional rollercoaster and financial preparations she made for what she believed was Cashmeer Sayyid’s wedding, an event that surprisingly turned out to be the launch of a school.

Speaking in a TikTok live on Saturday, August 9, 2025, Hanna recalled lining up monetary gifts and rehearsing songs in preparation for what she believed was the big wedding.

She noted that she had even planned to gift Cashmeer a money bouquet, a tradition she follows for most of her close friends during their big days.

“I knew it was a wedding. If I had made a money bouquet, I do not know where I would have given it because I usually present those to close friends on their big days,” she said.

Hanna explained that she was so convinced the event was a wedding and that she had prepared herself to cry during the exchange of vows and had even asked her makeup artiste to provide powder to help with touch-ups.

“I had even prepared to cry when they exchanged vows. I told my makeup artist to give me some powder so I could touch up my tears during the ceremony. I even brought gifts with me,” she added.

She described the detailed preparations she had made for the occasion, revealing that her makeup cost Ksh3,500 and that she had a tailor sew her dress, which was worth no less than Ksh30,000.

Hanna stressed that she usually does not disappoint with her outfit choices and had made sure to look her best, but the flow of events ended up not working in her favour.

“My makeup cost me 3,500 shillings, and I had a dress sewn that was worth no less than 30,000 shillings. You all know I never disappoint when it comes to my outfits,” the TikToker said.

It was on that note that she added that she had brought gifts in cash, prepared to celebrate and show her support.

She expressed confusion about not knowing what to do with the gifts, but expressed relief that she had not brought the money bouquet, as it would have been awkward to present it given the sudden change in the event’s purpose.

“I was carrying a lot of cash as gifts. Thank God I did not bring a money bouquet, where would I have given it? I would have been laughed at,” Hanna reflected.

Hanna added that she had even bought comfortable heels specifically to dance during the event, adding that she had even planned to steal the limelight.

.“I had even bought heels that would have made dancing easy, but let it be,” she added.
