Guardian Angel breaks silence after Sammy G’s apology
By Valerian Khakayi, August 16, 2025Gospel musician Peter Omwaka, better known as Guardian Angel, has responded to fellow artist Sammy G’s public apology, signalling a possible end to tensions between the two.
In a brief but heartfelt message shared on his Instagram account shortly after Sammy G issued an apology over their recent fallout, which had played out in the public eye, Guardian Angel reposted the apology and wished him the peace of the Lord.
Although he did not elaborate further, his repost of the apology suggested that he had acknowledged it.
“Amani ya Bwana iwe nawe 🙏🏿🙏🏿 @sammy_g_ke Bless you,” he wrote.

Sammy G’s apology
Sammy G, on Friday, August 15, 2025, released a heartfelt video addressing the situation and apologising for any misunderstandings and asked Guardian Angel to find a place in his heart to forgive him.
He explained that he had attempted to reach Guardian Angel directly via phone to apologise and clarify the situation, but he was unable to get through.
“Hello, guys, it’s Sammy G here. I am aware of everything that is going on, and we leave everything in God’s hands. The main reason I am doing this video is to address the situation directly. Dear Guardian, I have sat down and reflected on everything that happened. Whatever occurred, happened, and many things took place. Rumours spread, and today I have decided to stand and make a public apology to you,” Sammy G said in the video.
He expressed deep respect for Guardian Angel, calling him more than a father figure and describing him as a mentor and a person he greatly looks up to.
“I have been trying to reach out to you, even through your phone, to ask for forgiveness, but I was not lucky to get through. I honour you, and I really respect you so much. When you supported me, you became more than a father to me. You are a mentor and a big person I look up to, and today I want to say I am sorry. With all humility, I ask you to find a place in your heart to forgive me,” he added.

Fallout
The apology comes after the Seven Heaven Music studio founder spoke during a candid conversation with Alex Mwakideu in an episode aired on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, explaining events that led to their fallout.
“The reason why tulikosana ni kwa sababu nimeitwa show na nataka tuende na msanii, msanii ameitisha fare asubuhi anataka kukuja Nairobi tuende show but saa kumi na moja msanii bado hajafika Nairobi na mahali anatoka ni mahali ya two hours,” he explained.
“Kufika hiyo saa nikamuuliza umefika wapi? Akasema’ama nitumie pin nikuje’ na asubuhi ameniitisha fare ya kupanda matatu. Nikamuuliza kwani matatu inapeleka watu kwa location? ‘Ati apana nilipatana na beste yangu akanibeba.’ Displine ilikuwa, umefika wapi? Nairobi? Sasa rudi mahali umetoka. Niliexpect tukae wiki moja anitafute aniambie alifanya makossa ni msamee.“
“Wakati alirudi kwao, kuna zile nyimbo alikuwa nimesema sitazitoa kwanza lakini after two weeks aka toa nyimbo.”
