Fardosa asks Pastor Ng’ang’a for a special invitation to his church
By Steve Ireri, August 24, 2025Fardosa, the viral TikTok sensation from Kakuma, Turkana, has reached out to Neno Evangelism founder Pastor James Maina Ng’ang’a, appealing for a special invitation to visit and experience his Nairobi-based church.
In a video shared on her newly launched TikTok page on Sunday, August 24, 2025, Fardosa expressed her interest in attending services at Pastor Ng’ang’a’s church, demonstrating her curiosity and engagement with spiritual matters.
Fardosa introduced herself to the pastor and enquired about the location of the church, saying she would like to attend before her time in the city expires.
“Pastor Ng’ang’a, how are you? My name is Fardosa. Where is your church located? I would like to come to your church while I am here in Nairobi,” she said.
The appeal comes at a time when Fardosa continues to expand her influence beyond TikTok, engaging with new experiences and connecting with different communities in Nairobi.
On Saturday, August 23, 2025, Fardosa created a TikTok account in her name and uploaded her very first videos, quickly amassing over 20,000 followers within the first six hours of launching the account.
She shared several clips, including one capturing her getting a pedicure and manicure, before posting the video in which she directly addressed Pastor Ng’ang’a, leaving her fans with a flurry of mixed reactions.
Nairobi life
Fardosa, who rose to fame after her Kakuma camp caregiver, Shangazi, began posting her videos, is currently in Nairobi following an invitation for a television interview.
While in the city, she encountered numerous experiences she had never witnessed before, including an elevator, and could not hide her surprise at not knowing how such a machine operated.

During the television interview on Friday, August 22, 2025, she spoke extensively about her newfound fame and revealed that she has no immediate plans to return to Kakuma in Turkana, despite having children living there.
She openly admired the lifestyle in Nairobi compared to Turkana, where she said resources are limited and life is tougher.
In her candid remarks, Fardosa explained that Nairobi offers her the kind of comfort she has always desired and added that her decision to remain in Nairobi is final.
“Me sitarudi Kakuma, mimi nitakaa hapa Nairobi. Shangazi atakaa na watoto Kakuma. Hapa Nairobi nataka nikae kwa ajiri ya maziwa mara na nyama. Pale Kakuma town tunaona TV ya town pekee,” she said, drawing laughter and support from her online followers.
She went on to reveal that her trip to Nairobi opened her eyes to a completely new world.
“Hii ni mara yangu ya kwanza kupanda gari. Numefurahia sana kukuja Nairobi. Nimeona vitu mingi lakini huku ni mbali sana, nimechoka!” she added, underscoring how new and overwhelming the experience has been for her.
Health and food preferences
Beyond lifestyle, Fardosa also linked her choice of settling in Nairobi to her health.
She noted that certain foods commonly available in Kakuma had affected her.
“Sipendi ugali na kabichi, nikikula tumbo inauma. Daktari alisema nikule nyama na maziwa. Itanisaidia kuwa mnene,” she disclosed.
