Comedian Eric Omondi has implored Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance leader Raila Odinga to hold daily protests.

Speaking to vloggers outside Nairobi West Men’s Prison after securing the release of 22 men, Eric pleaded with Raila to hold demos Monday to Monday.

Ningependa kuomba the right honourable Raila Amolo Odinga. Tafadhali make the mandamano Monday to Monday every single day tuaribu kukuwe na holiday, no business should continue,” Eric said.

The comedian further scoffed at Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua noting that they had been given Ksh802 million to buy vehicles yet he claimed that Kenya’s economy lost Ksh2 billion due to Azimio demos.

Eric added that demonstrations should be held daily so that the government runs out of money just the way Kenyans are broke.

Gachagua alisema serikali inapoteza na leo wamepewa pesa ngapi ya kununua magari? 802 million kubuy magari. Maandamano ikue kila siku serikali ikose pesa venye Wakenya wamekosa pesa. Ushaelewa? Wakenya hawana pesa.

The comedian said he would stage his demos every Wednesday and Friday if Raila doesn’t go ahead and hold daily protests.

Afanye Monday to Monday. Si tutajoin. Kama ameshindwa, ameweka Monday na Thursday situnaweka Wednesday na Friday. So the whole of our live itakua weekend,” he said.

Nataka tushikane si wote kama Wakenya, Kenya yote isimame si wote tukose pesa,” he added.

Asked what happens if the economy is destroyed, Eric said then all Kenyans should die if no action is taken. He explained that currently only the poor were suffering yet a few were enjoying.

Tukufe. Tukufe si wote. Hatuwezi kuwa si tunakufa 53 million alafu 2 million kule juu wanaishi. Hawa watoi wametoka hapo singekuja hapa kuwatoa? Si wasinge rot hapa ju ya so tano. Tukufe si wote. Gava ikose doh Wakenya wakote doh. Raila weka hio kitu ikue kila siku. Na Raila asipoweka si tutaiweka. Eric Omondi ataweka yake Wednesday na Friday.

The comedian further insisted that the only conversation that the government and protesters should have is on lowering the cost of living.

Conversation ni unga iende chini. Conversation ni serikali iache kuibia Wakenya, conversation ni maziwa, sukari gas, mafuta iende chini. Hakuna conversation ingine. Dialogue ni hio, dialogue ni mafuta iende chini,” he said.

Eric’s sentiments come shortly after Raila announced that protests will be held every Monday and Thursday ‘due to public demand’.
