Diana Bahati’s ex-nanny Irene Nekesa flaunts stylish home she is building
By Steve Ireri, November 29, 2025Socialite Diana Bahati’s former househelp Irene Nekesa has given her fans a glimpse of a luxe house she is building in the village.
In a video shared on her TikTok page on Saturday, November 29, 2025, Irene could be seen walking inside the house as workers made efforts to put final touches on key parts.
The house appeared huge and expansive, and she hailed that it was through God’s grace that she had been able to pull off such a feat.
From the video, the house seems to have multiple rooms, with several doors leading to different spaces. It also features what appears to be a balcony and a large metallic main door, details that left fans flooding her comments with congratulatory messages.

Irene paired the video with a Catholic song that speaks about the rewards of hard work, subtly suggesting that her accomplishment came from sacrifice, dedication, and strong faith.
Hefty salary
The house tour comes just months after she shared intricate details of the series of events that led her to walk away from her plush Ksh100,000-a-month job at the celebrity couple’s lavish mansion.
Speaking in an interview with SPM Buzz on Thursday, February 20, 2025, Irene shared that she found herself torn between the allure of a comfortable pay cheque and the yearning to be present for her family.
She revealed that after careful planning, she ultimately decided to leave and forge her own path.
She revealed that her family desperately needed her physical and emotional presence, recalling how she had raised her son, Joshua, from the tender age of 11 while juggling her demanding duties in the Bahati household.
“Let me just say that leaving my job reached a point where I told myself it’s time to stand on my own as a mother. I have children, and my kids also deserve to feel that they have a mum who takes care of them. Sometimes I used to work with my son Joshua, and we came here when he was 11 years old, but working with a child can make him feel uncomfortable. And life has to move on, children are born, and eventually they have to go to work,” she said, hinting that it was time for her to stand on her own two feet.

Since leaving the celebrity home, Irene has taken a bold leap, launching her own YouTube channel.
She credited the Bahatis for nurturing her growth, saying they had supported her in all ways imaginable, and compared her departure to a chick finally growing feathers and being released from the hen’s protective wings.
“They raised me, I grew up with the Bahatis, and they released me when I had already grown and was doing well. It’s just like chicks that are cared for by a hen, once they grow big, they are set free,” she fondly stated, acknowledging that her time with the family shaped her into the independent woman she is today.
