Cashmeer Sayyid shuts down claims her wedding is for elites only

As the countdown to her much-anticipated white wedding narrows to 11 days, content creator and beauty mogul Cashmeer Sayyid has moved swiftly to silence swirling criticism that her event is exclusively reserved for celebrities and influencers.

Speaking in a video shared on her TikTok on Monday, July 28, 2025, Cashmeer noted that many of her followers had accused her of sidelining them by inviting public figures while excluding people who don’t have high-end handsets.

However, she insisted that such claims were unfounded and pleaded with her fans to stop pushing a narrative that could dampen the joy surrounding her special day.

“Hi guys, many of you are complaining that I have not responded to you, saying my wedding is only for celebrities. Some are even claiming that if you use a Tecno phone, I will not invite you. No, no, please stop that,” she said.

She clarified that although the wedding will feature notable personalities, it was never her intention to make it feel exclusive or elitist.

In her usual candid style, Cashmeer explained that she would be inviting five lucky fans to attend the ceremony in person and act as a bridge between her and the rest of her loyal online community.

In her words, she stated that she does not want to feel guilty about the kind of guests she is inviting and reassured her fans that those five chosen individuals would represent the rest wholeheartedly.

She noted that the selected fans would be allowed to take photos, go live, and offer a front-row digital experience for those who would not be physically present, describing the upcoming nuptials as a day she “cannot wait to celebrate with all of you.”

“Do not make me feel guilty. I am going to invite five of my fans, and they will represent all of you. They will take photos, go live, and share the experience with everyone. The wedding is going to be amazing, and I cannot wait to celebrate with you.”

Social media contest

To ensure transparency and fairness, Cashmeer announced a social media contest to select the most deserving participants.

She urged her fans to comment the phrase “Harusi tunayo hatuna” on her platforms, with the individuals whose comments gather the most likes securing a spot.

She revealed that two winners would be picked from Instagram and another two from TikTok, while one fan had already been selected during a previous live session on TikTok.

“To make the selection fair, I will pick the five based on those who comment ‘Harusi tunayo hatuna’ and get the most likes. I will choose two people from Instagram and two from TikTok, because we already picked one fan from our TikTok live yesterday.”

“There are only eleven days to go; the countdown has begun.”
