Cartoon Comedian links depression to sinning

Taking to social media, Cartoon linked depression and anxiety to immorality arguing that the mental disorder can be caused by sinning against God.
She says various transgressions including sexual immorality, and lack of faith in God could spur these mental health crises.
“Every time you get depressed, anxious or unhappy, chunguza sana. You might have done something that didn’t please the Lord. Could be sexual immoralities, could be not believing in God or even mistreating the wrong person who cries to the Lord with your name,” she opined.
Notably, Cartoon Comedian’s opinion is one of many causes that are yet to be proven as causes of depression. However, while causes may differ experts have advised on various ways to treat depression.
How to deal with depression
Treating depression is not straightforward for every person however, according to researchers, one can either heal through various lifestyle interventions or by taking antidepressant medication.
Which treatment option works best partly depends on personal perceptions or preferences, including a person’s motivation to exercise or concern about the potential side effects of medication.
Experts warn that the treatment plans should be personalized noting that not treating depression at all may lead to worse outcomes.
