Boutross endorses Toxic Lyrikali for a spot on DJ AG’s platform

Singer Boutross Munene has endorsed fast-rising artiste Toxic Lyrikali as the next performer he would like to see on DJ AG Online’s platform, following his own appearance there on Friday, November 28, 2025.

This came after DJ AG, a North London-based producer born Ashley Gordon, asked Boutross to name an artiste he would want to be given the honour, just as it had been extended to him.

That was when Boutross first named singer Jovie, only for the crowd to erupt in cheers, noting that Jovie had already appeared on the platform.

Boutross then, without hesitation, went ahead to name ‘Back Bencher’ hitmaker Toxic Lyrikali, even adding that he would love to see him perform the hit song Back Bencher.

“If you could pick one artiste to pull up to this live shoot next—you can pick anyone, but it must be one person—who could that person be?” DJ AG asked.

“Has Jovie already been here? Jovie has already been here? Oh, so I would like our ‘Back Bencher’ hitmaker to be the next person,” Boutross said, leaving the crowd erupting in cheers.

Boutross is among the many artistes DJ AG has featured at his ongoing event at The Junction Mall along Ngong Road, which has been running daily.

The event, designed to allow both established and budding artistes to showcase their talent, started on November 24, 2025, and is concluding today, Saturday, November 29, 2025.

The first day of the event featured performances by artistes including Maandy Kabaya, KS Lowwakabi, Phil, Cathy Matete, Kaploti Mwenyewe, Chris Kaiga, Wayzon Theway, Iyanii, Bien Aime, Frank White, and Bridget Blue, among others.

On the second day, other renowned artistes graced the platform, including gospel singer and dancer Jabidii, Benga musician Ayuni Nyapolo, rapper Zizzy Litty, singers Weare Nubia, and Kikuyu EDM singer Sofiya Nzau.

On November 28, the third day of the event, things became even more electrifying as Gen Z fans got to witness their favourite crew, Buruklyn Boyz, including Ajay and Mr Right, perform live.

The duo was also joined on stage by fellow drill hitmaker Big Yasa, leaving the crowd ecstatic.

Other artistes who performed on that day included Mr. Tee, Keem Lyf, Official Koke, Steph Kapela, Fathermoh, Perry Gin, and Jovie, among others.
