Baba Talisha honours late uncle in poignant tribute

In a heartfelt tribute shared on his official Instagram account on Friday, August 1, 2025, Baba Talisha said that August had never been kind to him since 2020 and that it had become his darkest month. He shared that this year it had struck the deepest blow
He explained that his family is mourning a great man, his uncle, whom he described as loving, generous, and selfless. He narrated how his uncle had taken care of them as if they were his own children, had supported his parents, and had even paid their school fees when they had nothing.
In addition, Baba T noted that his uncle had been the glue holding the family together, a quiet hero, a hard-working man who had provided love and stability.

“August has never been kind to me since 2020; it has become my darkest month. And this year, it has struck the deepest blow,” Baba Talisha mourned.
“Today, we mourn a great man. My uncle loving, generous, selfless. He took care of us like his own, stood with my parents, and even paid our school fees when we had nothing. He was the glue that held our family together. A quiet hero. A hardworking man who gave us love and stability.”
Loss
He went on to say that losing him was painful beyond words, not just because he was gone but because he had chosen to leave, adding that the weight his uncle had carried in silence had finally broken him, and that truth was haunting.

Men’s mental health
Amid the pain, Baba Talisha transformed grief into advocacy, echoing the experience of many families.
He appealed to every man battling silently to please talk, seek help, or go for therapy, insisting that vulnerability was not weakness but survival.
“To every man battling silently: please talk. Please seek help. Please go for therapy. Vulnerability is not weakness it is survival,” Baba T appealed.
He affirmed that they would forever remember his uncle for his heart, deeds, and love, and that they wished he had stayed long enough to be poured into as he had poured into them.
“We will forever remember him for his heart, his deeds, and his love. Rest in peace, uncle. You gave us everything, and we only wish you had stayed long enough to be poured into too,” he stated.
