Alex Mwakideu doubts woman claiming to be Bahati’s mother, says it’s clout

Mwakideu, in an Instagram video on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, said the story does not add up and suggested it may be clout. He said people have always known that Bahati grew up in a children’s home and that he was described as an orphan for many years.
He shared his thoughts by saying, “Miaka yote tumejua kwa maskini ya mungu, kwamba Bahati ni yatima. Lakini juzi katokea mama. Mama akatokea akasema mimi ndio mama yako, nilikupeleka katika children’s home, nisamehe.” He added that the timing of the story raises questions and joked that it could even be linked to a new release.
He said, “Labda hata kuna ngoma inatoka Friday inaitwa mzazi… ha ha ha… maanake Bahati kwa makiki, mfalme wa makiki. Inaweza kuwa yule mama is part of it. You never know with Bahati, by the way. Mfalme wa makiki Bahati mwenyewe.”
More confusion after new claims
Bahati has also spoken after the woman appeared in a viral TikTok video. He said he was shocked because, according to him, his mother died more than twenty-five years ago. Bahati said he attended her burial and even saw her grave, so the new claims have left him unsure of what to think.
Taking to his Instagram page on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, he wrote, “But My Mum Died over 25 Years ago, I personally attended the Burial and witnessed her Grave. This Woman has confused me More. So what Should I Do???”
The woman in the video said she is his mother and asked him to forgive her. Her message has created more questions, especially because Bahati has always spoken publicly about being raised in a children’s home after losing both parents.
For now, Bahati says he does not understand the situation and has not confirmed whether he plans to meet the woman or address the matter further. The claims continue to circulate online as both sides wait for clarity.
