More information about the late George Magoha‘s last moments alive has been shared by his close friend Prof. Walter Mwanda.

Magoha who served as Education CS from March 2019 to October 2022, suffered a cardiac arrest on Tuesday, January 24.

Speaking to the press at the Lee funeral home, Mwanda noted that Magoha,71, had a premonition that his time was up and he was at peace with that.

He revealed that the former Education CS asked his wife to call their son and daughter-in-law to have a final chat with him.

Later he asked for his friend Prof. Walter Mwanda.

Mwanda says he collapsed at least four times and they were able to resuscitate him three times but were unsuccessful after he collapsed for the fourth time.

“He suffered a collapse and was resuscitated by the son who is a medical doctor. He then collapsed again and this time we were in the hospital. He was rushed to casualties but they were not able to revive him,” Prof. Walter Mwanda recounted.

Mwanda mourned Magoha as a diligent friend who came second to none.

“In all aspects, he was second to none in every responsibility he undertook. He did his work diligently,” he noted.
