Police in Nairobi have launched a manhunt for a man linked to the alleged murder of a 26-year-old woman at Mowlem in Buruburu.

The lifeless body of Pamela Asesa was found in her house with physical injuries on the neck. A piece of cloth had been stuffed into her mouth.

Police believe the woman was raped before she was strangled to death.

Nairobi police boss James Mugera confirmed the incident saying they are treating the deceased’s ex-boyfriend as the main suspect behind the heinous act.

Asesa is said to have complained of the man stalking her before her death.

Neighbours in Buruburu

Neighbours told the police that the man was seen leaving the house hours before the body was discovered.

Apparently, Asesa’s current lover was away at work and she was alone in the house at the time of the incident.

When the boyfriend returned from work he found the door locked. He tried to reach Asesa on phone in vain forcing him to break into the house where he found her body sprawled on bed.

The body was moved to a city mortuary pending autopsy as the manhunt for the suspect continues.
