I confirm that indeed there’s been an earthquake in Kenya – Ruto says on Mudavadi’s event

Deputy President William Ruto has come out to congratulate Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi on his big political announcement during his party’s National Delegates Conference at the Bomas of Kenya.

While addressing the convention, Ruto said that Musalia’s announcement was indeed an earthquake as he had predicted.

“When Mudavai said there will be an earthquake on Sunday, I wanted sure what this earthquake is going to look like. When my friend Omwami Musalia Mudavadi when you built this event like an earthquake many people were wondering just like me. But today it is confirmed that there was indeed an earthquake in Kenya,” DP Ruto said.

Ruto said that Mudavadi’s statement was an earthquake for he talked on behalf of many Kenyans.

While congratulating Mudavadi on his appointment as ANC’s flag bearer in the August elections, Ruto said that he was confident the former vice-president was up to the task to lead the country.

Ruto further claimed that Mudavadi’s convention was a turning point in the country’s political scene.

“Today marks a new page in the political disclose of our nation because Musalia has spoken to the hearts of our nation, to the issues of our nation and the challenges of our nation,” Ruto said.

Ruto said that he is ready to work with Mudavadi’s ANC and any other party that would want to join them ahead of the general elections. He said that while working with the ANC leader, they will raise the bar of the country’s leadership of the country.

He said they will make sure that deceit, conmanship and lies that have engulfed the country’s leadership come to a stop.

“We also consolidate our democracy so that every Kenyan as provided for by the constitution can make choices and we as a nation must resist the criminalization of alternative views,” Ruto added.
