Renowned activist Boniface Mwangi has warned members of the public against engaging police officers in a fight no matter the situation.
While reacting to a viral video showing an unknown man fighting two police officers, Mwangi told Kenyans to always corporate and maintain their cool when engaging police officers.
He narrated his personal experience when he fought a police officer in self-defence and eventually ended up paying the price.
While sharing the video of the man fighting the officers, Mwangi wrote; “I did this once in self-defence pale City Hall on an administration police officer, they ganged up, dragged me to the basement, chained my hands on a box and they beat me till my saliva dried”.
According to Mwangi, he was saved by a relative and a City MCA.
“A relative working at City Hall and Ziwani MCA Millicent came to my rescue but if they hadn’t, I would have been crippled or murdered. Don’t do it!” he warned.
In the video shared by Mwangi, which has been going viral for days, a man is seen wrestling two officers on a road yet to be established.
The man, who is believed to be a driver, is seen embroiled in a push and pull with the two officers besides a parked matatu as tens of civilians, unfortunately, cheer them on.
The alleged driver is captured punching one of the police officers to the ground but that is not enough for him to be let go.
It is not clear yet what caused the standoff as the video ends without capturing the whole ordeal.
