A tout shocked a Nairobi court when he confessed to habitual smoking of marijuana and consuming alcoholic beverages Senator and Blue Ice, just so that older women in entertainment pubs he visits can appear appealing to him.

Wycliffe Aloys Orinda appeared before Nairobi Chief Magistrate Martha Mutuku on Tuesday, January 12, and pleaded guilty to one count of creating a disturbance in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace.

In his defence, Wycliffe shocked the court, saying that had he not imbibed Blue Ice vodka he would not have met his wife, Caroline Wambui, whom he said is much older than him.

He told the court that one of the complainants is his wife and that they have three children together, adding that he only caused a disturbance because he wanted to see his children.

According to the police report, Mary Nyangothi, the other complainant who is also his aunt, was informed by Caroline that the tout was creating a disturbance at her shop on Biashara Street in Nairobi by threatening to pull down their banners.

She quickly alerted the authorities and officers from Central Police Station arrested him.

The tout told the court that the only reason he visited the shop was to demand access to his children, not to disturb the peace.

He said that he used to live with Caroline and the children in Eastleigh, Nairobi but she conspired to have him arrested and taken to Industrial Area Remand after he lost his job.
