PHOTOS: Pomp and glamour as Kalonzo’s daughter weds

It was pomp and colour when Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s daughter Damarie Saada Kalonzo tied the knot in a glamourous wedding in Yatta, Machakos county.

Saada said ‘I do’ to her sweetheart Nyaga in the traditional union which attracted a host of notable figures from the country’s political arena.

A section of leaders who graced the event include; Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti, the county senator Agnes Kavindu Muthama, former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni, KANU chairman Gideon Moi, and Narc party leader Martha Karua.

Other leaders who attended the event include, Machakos Women Rep Joyce Kamene, her Makueni counterpart Rose Museo, Kitui Senator Wambua Kiio, and Mwingi Central MP Gedion Mulyungi among others.

Images shared by former governor Sonko show that the bride and groom were dressed in traditional outfits in orange and brown.

Saada’s beautiful orange gown had kitenge patterns while her husband’s brown suit had deets kitenge decoration on the shirt.

Guests present wore different attires, however, the majority of them wore traditional outfits.

Sonko shared the images wishing the new couple a happy union filled with everlasting joy, peace and happiness.

“Unto you Saada and Nyaga, on behalf of my family, I’m so happy to share this start of your wonderful journey with you both as you build your new lives together. May your beautiful marriage be full of everlasting joy. Congratulations. I wish you peace, joy, and happiness today and forever,” Sonko wrote.

Saada’s wedding comes weeks after her brother Kelvin Muasya tied the knot in a traditional event attended by notable figures in Machakos county.
