President William Ruto has vowed to go after all individuals responsible for the fire incident witnessed in parliament during the anti-Finance Bill 2024 protests on Tuesday, June 25, 2024.
Addressing a section of church leaders at State House in Nairobi on Saturday, June 29, 2024, Ruto stated that he will ensure that those involved in destroying infrastructure at parliament will be held accountable.
The president also defended that the aforementioned act was orchestrated by criminals who infiltrated peaceful protesters.
He additionally urged parents and guardians to talk to the young people and make them understand that his administration has a plan for them
“Nawaomba muongeleshe hawa vijana wetu, hawana makosa, ni kukosa namna, lakini as parents, as church leaders, sote tuungane, tuongeleshe hawa vijana tupange vizuri ili waelewe we have a plan for them,” Ruto added.
