Anerlisa Muigai, the heiress of Keroche Breweries, has taken significant steps to address her weight gain by making radical lifestyle changes.

On June 11, 2024, the 36-year-old business mogul expressed her concerns about her recent weight challenges in an Instagram post.

Anerlisa revealed that she had gained 8 kilograms, increasing her weight from 60 kilograms to 68 kilograms.

“Having a smoothie for lunch. I miss being 60kgs. I am now 68kgs,” Anerlisa remarked.

Anerlisa has decided to become a teetotaler and also to avoid sugar among other measures to prevent further weight gain.

“Don’t even have a plan but I’ll try cut sugar and now I have completely quit anything alcoholic and sleeping late,” she disclosed.

Weight loss journey

Anerlisa’s struggle with weight is not new. She has lost more than 60 kilograms since she began her weight loss journey more than half a decade ago.

Approximately seven years ago, the Keroche heiress revealed her challenges in losing her initial weight of 124 kilograms.

In January 2024, she opened up about her weight loss procedures while responding to claims by her ex-husband, Ben Pol, who stated that she underwent several surgeries to achieve a perfect body shape.

“There is nothing hidden about my surgeries. If you follow my weight loss platform you will be well-updated about them. It’s very normal after you lose weight, other parts of the body can be hard to correct with the gym, especially at the size I was before,” Anerlisa Muigai said during a Questions and Answers (Q&A) session with her fans.

Responding to a question from a fan on her weight loss app, Anerlisa admitted to having undergone surgery on her arms and breasts.

“Yes, my arm and my breast are the only parts I had to lift with a doctor. Everything else got back its shape after a good long diet and trainer,” she said.

When asked by a fan about how she managed the pain from her surgeries, Anerlisa shared that she had to take very strong painkillers, but after four months, she was able to feel normal again.

Moving forward

Anerlisa’s decision to quit alcohol and cut sugar reflects her commitment to maintaining her health and managing her weight.

Her openness about her struggles and the steps she’s taking serves as an inspiration to many who are facing similar challenges.
