Nakuru County Senator Susan Kihika and Nakuru Town East MP David Gikaria on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, were blocked from attending a presidential event.
The two were denied access to the Regional Commissioner’s grounds in Nakuru Town East where President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to issue title deeds to the locals.
Mr Gikaria, the area MP, was spotted arguing with General Service Unit officers manning the ground’s entrance.
But his pleas seemed to have fallen on deaf ears prompting the lawmakers to walk away.
The duo are closely aligned to the Jubilee’s Tanga Tanga wing.
Ms Kihika quickly took to social media to express her frustrations.
“Earlier today the area MP Hon Gikaria and I were refused entry into a public function where the President will be issuing title deeds to the people of Nakuru County. We were informed that orders from above are that we cannot be allowed entry because we belong to an Unwanted Faction! Meanwhile we are building bridges and uniting the nation,” said Ms Kihika.
