Steve Ogolla lovingly introduces wife Ivy Bavolyne, confirms they are married
By Steve Ireri, October 24, 2025Renowned city lawyer Steve Ogolla has pampered his new partner, Ivy Bavolyne, with love and confirmed that he is officially married to her.
Speaking during an interview with a local TV station conducted at their Sega home on Thursday, October 23, 2025, Ogolla spoke fondly of Ivy, using endearing words to describe her.
He also shared details of their life, including their daily prayer routine as a devoted couple.
“And this is my lovely wife, she is called Ivy. We do pray every morning with her,” Ogolla said.
During the same interview, Ivy also opened up about their relationship, expressing her admiration for the lawyer and revealing that she is completely swept off her feet by the love he continually shows her.
She spoke tenderly about Ogolla, describing him as a prayerful man who ensures that they begin every day in prayer.
“Ogolla is so loving, he loves me, I mean. I am experiencing love in its natural taste. He is prayerful, and we are a family that prays together. And note that I have not said spiritual, I have said prayerful. We do pray every morning. Generally, that is it,” Ivy said.

Beautiful home
Ogolla also spoke about the meaning behind their elegant family home, explaining that the construction was inspired by a deep desire to restore dignity within his family and to reflect the unity they share.
He said that instead of building one grand mansion for himself alone, he chose to build modern houses within their compound for his parents and brothers so that every member of the family could live comfortably.
“So this home, the construction was just out of the need to restore dignity in the family and to project the unity that we share as a family. As I said earlier, our family is very united from the siblings,” Steve said.
He noted that his decision stemmed from reflection and gratitude towards his siblings who played a significant role in his upbringing.
He explained that being the second-born, his elder siblings shielded him from strenuous chores that could have interfered with his education, enabling him to focus on his studies.
“The siblings went all out, and they are the reason I am where I am today. I said earlier that I am the second-born, and they protected me from doing the kind of chores that would have taken me away from school. That is how I was able to focus,” Ogolla added.
Ogolla said that when God elevated him to his current position in life, he felt it would be unfair to live in a majestic house while his brothers remained in semi-permanent structures.
He added that he also considered the emotional impact it would have on their mother, who would have wondered why her sons were not living equally well.
“And if God has raised me to this level, I thought it would not make sense to have a majestic house for myself in the village when my brothers are living in semi-permanent structures. So I thought about the reflection and the impact it would have on my mother, because I knew she would be wondering about my brothers,” he shared.
