Ruto hints at a Cabinet reshuffle
By David Nthua, October 28, 2025President William Ruto has publicly hinted at a possible cabinet reshuffle.
Speaking in Baringo County on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, during a development tour, Ruto saluted KANU boss Gideon Moi for agreeing to work with him.
He further revealed that more individuals would be accommodated in the broad-based government, emphasising the importance of unity and inclusivity in his administration.
Ruto and Moi unite
In his address, Ruto explained the nature of his discussions with Gideon Moi, which focused on putting aside past political differences for the greater good of the nation.
“Si mimi niliita ndugu yangu Gideon? Nikamwambia wewe ni mtu ya rika yangu. Si ndio? Tuko pamoja? Nikamuuliza Gideon kwa heshima na yeye akaniheshimu akaniambia wacha tuungane tuwachie hawa vijana, waendelee na kazi sisi tutapangana uko mbele bwana,” Ruto stated.

The president urged Baringo residents to accept the union, calling for unity and an end to divisions based on ethnicity and political affiliation.
He stressed that this collaboration with Moi would bring an inclusive approach to governance, where all sectors of society would be represented in the government’s agenda.
“Hawa pia tunawajumuisha katika serikali ya broad-based. Tutembee pamoja na tuwache chuki za ukabila, migawanyiko na ubaguzi. Nauliza watu wa Baringo wakubali tutembee pamoja,” he added.
A new direction
Ruto’s remarks have sparked speculation about changes within his government.
This comes shortly after Ruto’s outreach to Moi, which was part of a broader strategy to consolidate political support across party lines.
