United States Ambassador to Kenya Meg Whitman on Saturday, June 8, 2024, hosted Azimio la Umoja – One Kenya coalition leader Raila Odinga.
Raila was accompanied by Prime Cabinet Secretary (CS) Musalia Mudavadi, Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi and Peter Kenneth among other leaders.

In a statement, Raila noted that the purpose of the meeting was for a celebration of the upcoming US Independence Day.

He also noted that the meeting is meant to honour 60 years of diplomatic relations between Kenya and the US.
“Meg Whitman hosted us for a celebration of the upcoming US Independence Day and 60 years of diplomatic relations between our nations. Kenya and the United States have a long-standing partnership built on shared ideals,” Raila wrote.
