Nuru Okanga issues update on life as a Form Two student

Political enthusiast and vocal Raila Odinga supporter, Nuru Okanga, has confirmed that he is still in secondary school and is currently in Form Two.

Speaking during an interview with Oga Obinna on Monday, September 29, 2025, he revealed that he expects to complete his studies and sit for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination in 2028.

“I have not yet finished secondary school, I am currently in Form Two and still pushing on. I truly joined high school, and at some point I left one school and transferred to another,” Okanga said.

Okanga, who sat the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination in 2023 and scored 320 marks out of 500, explained that he joined secondary school immediately after completing primary school.

He admitted that he had switched schools at one point due to disagreements with a principal, which arose after both of them showed interest in the same female teacher.

The teacher, who was teaching mathematics in Form One, later became his partner, a relationship that he disclosed is still ongoing.

“I personally changed schools because I did not want conflict with the principal. Both of us were interested in the same woman, and that woman was a teacher of Form One. That teacher and I are still together up to today. She has a beautiful figure, and whenever she was teaching mathematics, I could not concentrate,” Okanga added.

He noted that his transfer to a new school was a personal decision aimed at avoiding conflict.

However, he declined to reveal the name of the institution where he is currently enrolled, citing concerns that the government might interfere with his studies if he made the location public.

“About the school I have transferred to now, I cannot reveal its name because of this government. You know with this government, once you start mentioning where you are, they will bring problems there. So let me keep the school private,” Okanga added.

Despite the challenges he has faced in his academic journey, Okanga maintained that he is determined to complete his secondary education and has already set his focus on the 2028 KCSE examination.

He added that by the time he sits the national test, he will have already been elected to political office, as he plans to contest for a Member of County Assembly (MCA) seat in 2027.

According to him, his political career and his education are running concurrently, and he expressed confidence that he will manage both successfully.

“But I will sit for my final high school examination in 2028. Those who will want to see my results can come and check them then. By that time, I will already be an MCA because I will have won the seat in 2027, and I believe the people of my area will give me that position.”
