Residents of Mwororo village in Maragua, Murang’a have been left in utter shock after a father allegedly killed his 16 years old daughter.

The body of the girl, who was a form one student at Saba Saba secondary school, was found sprawled by the roadside on Saturday morning by passers-by.

According to Mary Wangui, one of the residents, she was headed to her farm when she saw the body of the deceased and raised an alarm that attracted the neighbours.

“I identified the girl because her mother is my friend and I could not understand why someone would kill her in cold blood,” she said.

She said the girl had her school bag which had books and uniform in it beside her.

Things however took a different twist after her father’s clothes were discovered at their home with bloodstains.

It is then that he confessed to the police that he killed his daughter on Thursday after he found her in her room with a man and he hid her body.

It is said that he went back on Friday evening and put his daughter’s body where it could easily be spotted.

The girl is said to have been sent home for school fees on Wednesday before the tragic incident.

The incident left the residents in utter shock calling in for stern action to be taken against the suspect.
