On his part, Kuria revealed how he had huge dreams for the country, a dream he argues was of rapid industrialisation, where he recounted launching County Aggregation and Industrial Parks.
“Today is the 4th of October. Exactly 2 years ago, I left the Ministry of Investments, Trade and Industry. I had huge dreams for our country. I dreamt of rapid industrialisation. I launched County Aggregation and Industrial Parks,” Kuria wrote.
Kuria’s achievements
Kuria went on describing some of the projects he spearheaded, which included launching a number of Special Economic Zones and Export Processing Zones.
The former CS went on to state how he led efforts in bilateral trade and regional integration in Kenya.

While describing his ambitions for the country, the former CS further added that he was working towards Kenya being a heaven for foreign direct investments and business process outsourcing to create millions of jobs for Gen Z.
“I launched many Special Economic Zones and Export Processing Zones. I led huge efforts in bilateral trade and regional integration. I dreamt that Kenya would be a heaven for foreign direct investments and business process outsourcing to create millions of jobs for Gen Z,” Kuria wrote.
Looking back two years after he left the Ministry of Investments, Trade and Industry, Kuria announced that he is disappointed at how his ambitions had been choked.
“Looking back at the last 2 years, I am disappointed that this dream has been extinguished. But I refuse to give up on Kenya. We still have a great country with immense potential,” Kuria wrote.

Kuria resigns
Worth noting, his remarks follow his recent resignation from his position as a senior economic advisor to President Ruto.
Taking to social media, Kuria announced his exit following a meeting with President Ruto, thanking the Head of State for the opportunity to serve in government.
While not divulging much on his next course of action, the former CS revealed that he would move on to pursue personal interests.
“This evening I have met my boss and my friend, President William Ruto. The President has graciously accepted my decision to resign from government,” Kuria stated.
“I thank President Ruto for having given me an opportunity to serve as Cabinet Secretary for Investments, Trade and Industry for 11 months, Public Service, Delivery and Performance Management for 9 months and Senior Economic Advisor for the last 10 months.”
“As I move on to pursue personal interests, I am proud of the work the President and I did to implement the Bottom Up Economic Transformation Agenda, which I designed together with the President as our 2022 Electoral Platform. Long Live Kenya.”
