Mashujaa Day: MP Mishi Mboko pens emotional tribute to Raila Odinga

In a heartfelt message shared on her official X account on Monday October 20,2025, Mishi recounted the remarkmable journey of the late Raila Odinga while describing him as a true hero to Kenya.
“On this Mashujaa Day, we honour the remarkable journey of Raila Amollo Odinga, a true hero in Kenya’s history. His unwavering dedication to democracy, justice, and equality has left an indelible mark on our nation,” Mishi noted.
On her part, while celebrating the falledn hero the lawmaker noted how Raila’s resilience in the face of adversity has inspired countless Kenyans to dream of a brighter future.
She further added that his leadership and vision have been instrumental in championing the people’s voice and empowering the marginalized communities in Kenya.

Raila Odinga’s legacy
Likewise, according to the Likoni MP was is also and Orange Democratic Movement member, she pleaded on Kenyans as they celebrate Mashujaa day to remember Raila while and appreciating his sacrifices and contributions to Kenya.
“As we celebrate Mashujaa Day, let us remember and appreciate the sacrifices and contributions of Raila Odinga, whose commitment to a united and prosperous Kenya continues to inspire generations. Today, we stand together to celebrate a hero who embodies the spirit of our nation-undaunted, resilient, and hopeful,” Mboko wrote.
On the other hand her remarks come just a day after Kenyans bid farewell to a man President William Ruto described as a man of peace, courage, and unyielding conviction, whos life was defined by an unwavering commitment to justice, democracy, and national unity.
His return to Bondo was not merely a homecoming as it was the embrace of a grateful Republic bidding farewell to one of its greatest sons, a patriot who devoted his life to the cause of justice, democracy, and the enduring unity of our beloved Kenya.
The death of Rt. Honourable Raila Odinga, saw various leaders express their emotions, breaking down into tears after receiving the news of Raila’s sudden demise.
