A man in his twenties from Naathu Village in Igembe North Constituency, Meru County is nursing injuries in hospital after his manhood was cut off by an enraged aggressor, who found him in bed with his [attacker’s] wife.

It is alleged the suspect, who had been suspecting his middle-aged wife of cheating, returned home unannounced Thursday night and found his wife and the young man engaging in sexual intercourse.

Filled with anger, the woman’s husband reached for a machete and severed the young man’s penis from his body.

Police are looking for the suspect, who fled to an unknown location.

The victim was rushed to hospital by Good Samaritans.

Elsewhere, but still in Naathu Village, a 30-year-old man on Saturday morning, July 13, committed suicide at his home by hanging on claims that he couldn’t stomach his wife’s infidelity.

The man had earlier complained to his neighbours that his wife, a Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) soldier, had also developed a habit of denying him conjugal rights.

Police arrived at the scene Saturday morning and took the man’s body to a Meru hospital mortuary.

Imenti North OCPD Robinson Mboloi confirmed the incident.
