‘Kizungu imeimprove’ – Peter Salasya shares his experience in America

The lawmaker shared his excitement on Instagram on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, revealing that his English has improved significantly. During the tour, Salasya has had the chance to meet many important people, especially while travelling in business class.
He said being around such people and experiencing different settings has helped him learn and speak English more confidently. Despite spending long hours travelling, he is eager to share his experiences with people back home in Mumias East.

The lawmaker’s tour, which began in late November, includes visits to London as well as multiple cities across the United States. During the tour, Salasya plans to engage with investors, development partners, and Kenyans living abroad.
Salasya noted that the tour is supported by the PK Salasya Foundation, which has been creating international opportunities aimed at advancing development initiatives for the people of Mumias East and Kenya as a whole.
Throughout the tour, the MP plans to meet diaspora communities, international partners, and potential investors. He said these engagements will provide an opportunity to share his broader presidential vision for a just, inclusive, and economically vibrant Kenya.
The lawmaker added that discussions during the tour will prioritise attracting sustainable investments that support national development and create meaningful employment, particularly for young people in Mumias East.
In addition, Salasya revealed that the partnership facilitating the tour will sponsor this year’s edition of his annual youth sports tournament, the PK Salasya Classic Cup. The tournament is dedicated to nurturing talent, promoting unity, and transforming the lives of young people.
