Kaluma Boy reveals what his grass-to-grace journey has taught him

TikTok sensation Kaluma Boy, who recently captured the hearts of Kenyans with his emotional story of caring for his ailing father, has opened up about the greatest lesson he has learnt from his remarkable grass-to-grace journey.

Speaking in a TikTok video on Thursday, October 2, 2025, Kaluma reflected on how far he has come since the moment his father suffered a stroke in August 2024, forcing him into the role of primary caregiver.

For months, he worked tirelessly on tea farms in his Chinga village, Othaya, to raise money for medical care, while simultaneously documenting his family’s struggles on TikTok.

He reminded his supporters that while many people have drawn lessons from his story, others have yet to grasp the essence of what it represents.

“Hello, my people, today I want us to encourage each other. According to my story, there are those who have learnt and those who have not, but I am very sure the majority have picked lessons from it. If you have learnt, you will be blessed,” he said.

According to Kaluma, when God has marked blessings for someone, no obstacle or opposition can stand in the way, and those blessings will arrive exactly as planned.

He told his fans that eventually they would be so blessed they would even question if it was truly happening to them.

“Hello my people, today I want us to encourage each other. According to my story, there are those who have learnt and those who have not, but I am very sure the majority have picked lessons from it. If you have learnt, you will be blessed.”

Kaluma went further to urge his supporters to value their parents, saying that parental blessings are the foundation of success and should never be taken lightly.

He insisted that this is a principle he will never cease to emphasise, because his journey has convinced him that blessings flow through honouring one’s parents.

“So my people, love your parents. Blessings come from parents, and that is something I will never stop saying. Parents are blessings,” Kaluma shared.

He also reminded his followers about the upcoming Thanksgiving service at JCM on Sunday, October 5, 2025, where he has invited both those who contributed to his father’s fundraiser and those who were unable to, to come together in a spirit of gratitude.

He said that his journey was a testimony of God’s faithfulness and encouraged Kenyans to embrace patience and resilience as they await their own breakthroughs.

“I also want to remind you that on Sunday we meet at JCM for thanksgiving. For those who were not able to support me earlier, let us come together and give thanks. According to my story, just wait for God’s timing.”
