In an update on X on Friday, October 31, 2025, the commission revealed that among the details published in the Gazette Notices are the full list of nominated candidates cleared to contest in the respective electoral areas.

The notices also outline the polling stations and tallying centres where voters will cast their ballots and where votes will be counted. For Mitkei and Tembelio Wards, the Commission has declared no contest, meaning that the nominated candidates in those areas have been automatically elected unopposed.

In addition to publishing the list of candidates, the IEBC has set clear timelines for campaigns and compliance. The campaign period officially began on October 8 and will close on November 24, two days before voting day. Candidates and political parties are required to adhere to the Electoral Code of Conduct throughout this period to ensure a peaceful and fair election.
