The Ministry of Health on Tuesday confirmed that it has received testing kits, protective gear, face masks and medical equipment donated by Chinese philanthropist and businessman Jack Ma.
The materials were delivered to Kenya by Ethiopian Airlines, who are distributing the materials that Ma, the founder of Alibaba online trading firm, donated.
The coronavirus support materials arrived in Ethiopia on Sunday, March 22 for distribution to the rest of the continent.
Ethiopian PM Abiy Ahmed confirmed Ma dispatched received 1.1 million testing kits, 6 million face masks and 60,000 protective suits for distribution in Africa.
