The announcement came in the middle of the night, leaving the team in shock and staring down the barrel of elimination.
However, thanks to the swift intervention of their coach, Delta eSports successfully appealed the decision, securing a map replay instead of a full disqualification.
The controversy stemmed from an equipment violation during their Control phase in a group-stage clash against Aura233.
It was discovered that the team had equipped two operator skills instead of one, breaching tournament rules.
Despite this, Delta eSports avoided harsher penalties as they had not used the second operator skill during the match.
Determined to bounce back, team members Michael, Twix, Miheso, Storm, and Breaker vowed to leave no stone unturned—and they delivered. In a high-stakes replay, they secured a narrow 3-2 victory on Raid, keeping their hopes alive.
This result has cemented Group A’s reputation as the tournament’s ‘Group of Death,’ with Delta eSports, Aura233, and Sierra 7 now holding one win each.
