Muriithi also announced plans to start sensitization to improve the ministry, by partnering with the Ministry of Education to begin sensitizing at the school level by encouraging irrigation and sustainable farming practices through 4K clubs among other projects.
“If approved by this house, I would start by sensitization. We need to appreciate that agriculture is not a by-the-way. It is an economic activity that generates income. I would work with the Ministry of Education on projects such as micro-irrigation that the ministry is rolling out, where we sink boreholes and give the opportunity to clubs such as 4K clubs to irrigate for sustainable farming,” he added.
