CS Mutua announces drive to send 1,500 Kenyans for jobs in Dubai, Saudi
By Cynthia Lodite, October 28, 2025Labour and Social Protection Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua has announced an interview invitation for qualified candidates to fill more than 1500 vacant positions.
In a post on his official X account on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, the Labour CS announced that the government, in conjunction with credible job recruitment agencies, is seeking to recruit qualified candidates for various positions overseas.

On his part, the CS revealed that the initiative aligns with the government’s commitment to providing meaningful employment to Kenyans while ensuring fair terms and conditions of work.
“The government, in conjunction with credible job recruitment agencies, invites qualified male and female candidates for interviews and job placements in reputable companies overseas,” Mutua wrote.
According to the CS, the interviews for various positions will be held in Mombasa and Nairobi from Wednesday, October 29, 2025, to Friday, October 31, 2025.
“INTERVIEW VENUES & DATES • NITA MOMBASA: 29th October 2025 • NITA ATHI RIVER: 30th–31st October 2025,” he wrote.

He further announced that the job opportunities available are based in Dubai and Saudi Arabia.
The opportunities in Dubai are open for taxi drivers, riders, warehouse workers, security guards, cleaners, waitresses, housekeepers, masons, steel fixers, carpenters, and general laborers.
“AVAILABLE POSITIONS DUBAI JOBS:Taxi Drivers (350)—Age 22–45 yrs , Riders/Delivery Drivers (500)—Age 21–38 yrs , Warehouse & E-Pickers/Helpers (300) — Age 21–40 yrs , Security Guards (150)—Age 21–38 yrs; Height 5’7 ft; Fluent in English , Cleaners (Male & Female)—Age 22–35 yrs ,Waitresses/Hotel Housekeepers—Age 22–35 yrs , Masons, Steel Fixers, Carpenters & General Labourers (175)—Age 21–45 yrs,” Mutua noted.
Contract benefits
The benefit package includes a 2-year renewable contract, free accommodation, food, transport & medical cover, overtime pay as per UAE labour laws, and 30 days of annual leave.

On the other hand, the Labour CS announced at least seventy-five open positions for drivers and mechanics in Saudi Arabia.
“Saudi Arabia Jobs: Drivers (50)—Age 21–45 yrs • Mechanics (25)—Age 21–45 yrs,” he added.
Likewise, CS Mutua announced that the benefits for the Saudi Arabia positions will include accommodation, food & transport provided, medical insurance included, plus a 2-year contract.
“Benefits: Accommodation, food & transport provided, medical insurance included, 2-year contract,” he noted.
Interested candidates are advised to carry with them a national ID, school certificates, a passport or proof of passport application, passport photos, and any work-related documents.

Mutua further revealed that the process will include a mandatory commission on all jobs to cover air tickets, medical, training, service fees, visa fees, and documentation costs.
