Police in Runda have arrested a 48-year-old man who killed his neighbour after he found him with his wife on their matrimonial bed in Githogoro informal settlement.

According to police, Samuel Musungu, a casual labourer in Runda had returned home unannounced, only to find the deceased in the act with his wife.

“In a fit of rage, Musungu reached for a piece of rock and hit the 40-year-old man at the back of his head, killing him on the spot,” police said in a statement.

Nyumba Kumi elders rushed to the scene but could not save the life of Nashon Mudovi, 40.

“It’s something out of a horror movie. It’s horrible. It’s a nightmare,” Nyumba Kumi Chairman Richard Wamalwa told police.

The suspect is currently being processed to answer to charges of murder contrary to Section 203 as read with Section 204 of the Penal Code.
