Bishop Kiengei offers to gift TikTokers his church ambulance if they build their hospital
By Steve Ireri, October 4, 2025Jesus Compassion Ministries (JCM) head pastor Bishop Ben Kiengei has announced plans to gift TikTokers his church ambulance if they fulfil their ambitious plan to build a hospital.
Speaking at JCM during a visit by a section of popular TikTokers, including Priscilla wa Imani, Swings Mauno, and MC Chris on Saturday, October 4, 2025, the bishop said that the ambulance, which is currently operational, would be donated to serve in the proposed Gen Z Memorial Hospital once it becomes a reality.

“Have you seen the ambulance here? That ambulance will belong to that hospital. You remember when I bought it, people asked why a church would buy an ambulance? Well, it will now serve that hospital,” he said.
The bishop said that he fully supports the TikTokers’ initiative, noting that the hospital will not only commemorate those who died during the demonstrations but will also serve as a lasting reminder of the power of unity among young people.
He said the church was ready to walk with them in their vision and help them realise their dream.
“I hear the hospital will be called Gen Z Memorial Hospital, and it will honour all the Gen Zs who died during the demonstrations. That hospital will keep their memory alive, and I am fully part of that plan,” he added.

He revealed that the ambulance, which the church had purchased amid criticism from some quarters, is already in use, having recently been deployed to assist a woman who had just delivered a child in Kiambu.
He said the ambulance has been used to help people who do not have vehicles during emergencies and that the church also owns several other vehicles used for humanitarian work.
“I will help start that project and stand with our children until they realise their dream. The ambulance is already operational; in fact, it recently transported a mother who had just delivered in Kiambu. It is used to help people who have no vehicles during emergencies,”
The bishop noted that after completing the hospital, TikToker should establish a technical and vocational training centre (TVET) to empower young people who cannot afford to continue with formal education.
He gave the example of his church, which already runs a college where youths study various technical courses such as plumbing and phone repair free of charge.
“We also have many other vehicles that we use here to help people. After finishing the hospital, we will build a TVET centre so that young people who cannot afford formal schooling can get an education. Our church already has a college where young people study for free, learning skills like phone repair, plumbing, and other technical courses.”
His remarks came as he warmly welcomed the TikTokers to his church ahead of the highly anticipated Thanksgiving ceremony for Kaluma Boy, which is scheduled for Sunday, October 5, 2025.
The plan to build the Gen Z Memorial Hospital was inspired by the overwhelming support that Gen Zs demonstrated towards Kaluma Boy, a young TikToker who had shared his struggles of caring for his bedridden father.
On Sunday, September 28, 2025, thousands of young people rallied through TikTok and travelled to Othaya to support him, an act that Bishop Kiengei described as proof of how powerful the spirit of unity among young Kenyans has become.
