Alice Wahome goes after IG Mutyambai and AG Kariuki over bodyguards recall

Kandara MP Alice Wahome has moved to court seeking to have her bodyguards reinstated.

The MP claimed the government had remained mum over the matter, adding that the court had written to the Attorney-General and the Inspector-General of Police seeking an explanation on why her security was withdrawn.

“The two were given seven days to reply which they declined,” she said.

Wahome said she believes the move by the government to recall her bodyguards was meant to instill fear and intimidate her due to her political stand.

She said she now feels vulnerable and fears for her life but added that she will not be intimidated by anyone.

The case has been slated for mention on March 23
