Roots Party presidential candidate Prof George Wajackoyah has launched his manifesto, touching on a 10-point agenda.

Wajackoyah said that his priority would be engaging in activities that can generate enough income for Kenya in a bid to clear her public debt, which is almost hitting Ksh10 trillion.

Here are the 10 points that Wajackoya will focus on if elected President on August 9:

  1. Legalise bhang

According to Prof Wajackoyah, 1 acre of bhang can earn farmers approximately Ksh8 million per harvest. He says that Nyeri residents can earn an approximated Ksh4.6 trillion per harvest.

“If we grew bhang in Nyeri alone in one year, we can pay Kenya’s entire debt portfolio. If we can grow bhang in Nyeri alone, each Kenyan could get a dividend cheque of Ksh200,000 every year from the sale of bhang. If we grew Bangi in Nyeri alone, we would build 2 expressways in each county in Kenya,” Wajackoyah said.

“If we grew bhang in Nyeri alone, Kenya could buy Bill Gates and Microsoft in just 2 years. If we grew bhang in Nyeri alone, Kenya will have 10% of IMF total cash reserves. In short, we will never have to borrow a single coin in future,” Wajackoya added.

2. Rear snakes

Wajackoyah estimates that snake rearing will earn each venomous snake farmer an average of Ksh600,000 per vial of anti-venom.

“For example, a cobra farmer will make $6,300 from a vial of cobra anti-venom. If we harvest Black mamba anti-venom a Kenyan farmer will make $5,300 per vial,” he said.

3. Export dog meat

The Roots Party estimates that a kilogram of dog meat costs six times more than the price of a kilogram of goat meat.

“Kenya exports Beef, goat and lamb to the Middle East. For instance, each Kg of goat costs an average of Ksh400 per Kilogram. But if we export dog meat we will earn Ksh2,400 per kilogram,” Wajackoya added.

4. Hang the corrupt

Anyone caught or found guilty of stealing public money will be hung in public.

“No more Golden berg, no more Anglo Leasing and no more Kimwarer and Arror,” he said.

5. Shut down SGR

Wajackoya termed the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) as one of the symbols of “Chinese colonization”.

“All Chinese statues along the route will be brought down. We will build our own railway systems with our own money,” he added.

6. Work for 4 days a week

Every Kenyan will work for four days only if Prof Wajackoya become the President on August 9. Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be holidays. Wajackoya also promised that each Kenyan will be paid every two weeks, and Kenya will be a 24-hour economy.

7. Suspend the constitution

The Roots Party leader has also promised that parts of the constitution that do not work will be suspended. Instead, the government will ask the people what they want

8. Shift the Capital city to Isiolo

“Isiolo is the centre of Kenya. Making Isiolo Kenya’s administrative centre is the same as making Canberra Australia’s capital.  We will move the capital city from Nairobi to Isiolo,” he added.

9. Create 8 States

Wajackoya government will introduce eight regional states. Each state will have a federal government that will give every community power to make their own decisions

10. Deport idle foreigners

“We will deport foreign idlers who have taken over Kenyan jobs,” Wajackoya concluded.
